Oliver testimony: Coach Tay has been so much more than just a coach — a real mentor.

I’ll never forget my first training session in 7th grade… he had me playing with two sophomores. After I asked why, he told me:

“You have to play outside your comfort zone to get better.”

That’s exactly what he pushed me to do every day.

Even when I moved to Paris, he was the first coach to check in and ask how I was playing… and every time I’m back home, he’s the first to reach out. He’s helped me grow on AND off the court, and I’m truly grateful for everything he’s done for me.

Coach Tay has been an exceptional coach from middle school into high school. He didn’t just teach fundamentals — he built Oliver’s confidence and took time to understand his strengths. What stood out most was his commitment to developing the whole athlete — teamwork, resilience, and character just as much as skill work. The lessons have stayed with Oliver, and we’re beyond grateful for his impact.
